Sleep Deprivation!

So I was warned that my dreams may be interrupted by some additional noise by Kellen in the middle of the night...they were not kidding! The phrase, "Sleep when the baby sleeps"...that is NO JOKE!

 

What I don't understand is, how is my baby brother wide awake at 2am?! Does he not understand this is the perfect time to dream about chasing squirrels and catching tennis balls?

As you can see, I tried to do my best to keep my Mom occupied while she fed Kellen. 

I may need to work on that a little! :)

 

Once my baby brother Kellen falls asleep in the afternoon, I take FULL advantage of the "Sleep when the baby sleeps"!

 I'm not sure who is more tired Me or Mom and Dad!

 

I'm hoping this doesn't last forever!!

Now Introducing...

The day FINALLY came! I became a big sister on Wednesday, October 23rd at 11:52pm!

Mom and Dad went into the hospital at 2pm on Wednesday and on Friday, (Mom's Birthday) they brought home my baby brother...Kellen Joseph Wiederin!

 I wasn't able to come to the hospital, so I made sure Grandma got a picture so I could see my brother before he came home!

 Though I had a blast at Grandma and Grandpa Klein's I was beyond excited to see my Mom and Dad AND my brother Kellen!

I told Mom that Christmas is right around the corner! I wonder if she got the hint that this would make for a GREAT Christmas card?! 

 

Just watching over my brother!

I call him Squeakers...he makes a lot of noise that I'm not used to!

I have to admit, I'm still adjusting to all this change! There are a lot of "extra" noises in the house, but I do know one thing...I LOVE HIM!

 

Note: My proof reader...aka Mom...seems to be a little tied up, so I apologize if I don't get a blog out everyday! I will do my best to keep on her though! I have a lot to share!

Model in the Making

It probably doesn't come as much surprise to you, but I've been told a time or two I could be a model! I personally would love to be in a dog treat commercial, I would make sure we had to do several "takes" to get the right moment! But that's beside the point!

Anyways, earlier this week Mom, Dad and I went on a beautiful nature walk!

As you can see, I was one happy girl!

 I was constantly "on alert" just in case on our nature walk we saw a coyote or something and I had to protect my Mom and Dad!!

The walk was filled with sounds of squirrels getting ready for winter, birds chirping, and the crackling of leaves as you walk on them!

Back to my modeling, I think these would be  great pictures for a calendar. Just saying!

While we were on our walk, we came across a bridge and creek!

"Mom shhh, I'm pretty sure I see a tadpole down in there and if we're real quiet I may be able to go down and catch it! I promise I won't get dirty"

Our walk wouldn't be complete without a picture without my Mom and Dad!

I was so excited to take a picture with Dad I couldn't even keep my eyes open!

Due Date!

Well today mark's my baby brother's Due Date! And obviously he's still not here yet, so that worked out real well! I hope when he comes out, he realizes how much Mom and Dad like to be on time! :)

This is my "Oh So Serious Face"

"Baby brother, PLEASE come out and play already!!"

 

Mom and Dad did have an appointment yesterday and they said no change! I'm not sure who is more bummed, me or Mom!

 I just want a play buddy, is that too much to ask for?!

But either way, Mom and Dad told me I would have a baby brother by next Wednesday!

 

I hope, for my Mom's sake, that he comes today because Friday is Mom's birthday!!

Just a Little Reflexology

We are all so anxious for my little brother to come into this world! Mom's so anxious that she has started Googleing "Way's to induce labor"! (And they tell me to be cautious to what I read on the internet!)

Well one way she read to induce labor was through a reflexology massage.  Again, big words so when Mom was done on Google I had to Google what a "reflexology massage".  To dogerize it, there are pressure points in your body that work different areas.  I personally think it's just a gimmick Mom is using to get a foot massage! :)

 

But because Dad and I love Mom so much, we go a long with her "theory" and give her a foot massage..EVERY DAY!!

We are on day 4 of this "reflexology massage" and still NO BABY! I'm pretty sure Dad and I fell hard into this one!

 

When will we learn!? :)

Special Cuddles

With the baby quickly approaching, Mom and Dad are giving me some extra cuddles and snuggles!! And when I mean extra, I mean extra special!

I am normally NEVER allowed on their bed! Mom says that's for Dad and her only! Does she not know I wouldn't take up THAT much space between them!? :)

 

Well last week they made a special exception to this rule! After dinner one night we decided to watch the movie Cars...IN BED!! It was the best snuggle of all times!

"Mom I promise, Dad's the one that lifted me up in bed!!"

I thought a TempurPedic dog bed was heaven, there's no comparison to Mom and Dad's bed! No wonder Mom say's it's for her and Dad only!

"Say Mom and Dad, you can go ahead and turn the lights off now! I'll probably just chill here until you're ready for bed!"

 

And Mom thinks there wouldn't be enough space in bed for all 3 of us?!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is another special day in our house!

Mom and Dad are celebrating their 3 year wedding anniversary!!

 

It seems like yesterday that they just got married! It was a beautiful fall day, light breeze (not enough to mess up Mom's hair, but enough to keep dad cool), and a staring guest appearance by yours truly...

 Yes, I even carried a bandanna on me that day just in case!! :)

 Since I wasn't able to give a toast to my parents on their wedding day, I'd like to take this time to do so now...

To my parents who's love is unconditional for not only me but for each other.

You say you'd be lost without me, well I'd be lost without you!

May you be blessed with many more "golden" years!

I'll be right there with you!

Still Waiting!!

I'm sure there are a few of you that are wondering "Is Esther a big sister yet?!"

Well, not yet! We are still waiting!!

This is my "Come on baby brother, just come out already" face!

 

"You say you'll come out when you're ready?! Well we are all ready for you, so what's the hold up!?"

It's Happening...

The past couple weeks the house has been taken over by the little guy! What I don't understand is, he's not even here yet!! I thought giving him his own room and maybe a toy box like mine was sufficient enough!?

But since I'm already his favorite sister, I just go with the flow as I just assume I'll benefit from it all somehow!

Takeover #1: Pack-n-Play

For being such a great watch dog that I am, this will be perfect! I can constantly watch my baby brother and see when he's up and ready to play ball!

 

Takeover #2: MamaRoo

My first reaction to this was "YES! Another gift for me to open" then I realized it was another "takeover item" But like all things, I gave it a chance...

...and it's a GREAT ball holder so I love it!! But the best thing about this MamaRoo...Dad can hook up his I-Pod and play music for my brother and I! I can't wait to rock out to "Who Let the Dogs Out" with my brother...I hope he gets Mom's dance moves!!

 

Takeover #3: Car Seat

This one throws a little bigger cramp in my style! At first I just thought it was just the car seat and it's a place for him to chill in the house, so again I was good with it!

Plus, it's another place where I can put my tennis balls!

But then a couple days later, part of this car seat came apart and from there, my life as been forever changed...

I LOST AN ENTIRE SEAT!!!

Going from having the entire back seat to myself to only have 2 seats...let's just say it's been an adjustment!

"What am I getting myself into?!"

 I need to talk to Mom and Dad about 3 important initials...S-U-V!

 

No matter how much space my brother takes up, I love him so much already!

Baby Brother Update!

I'm sure some of you are wondering..."when is this baby going to get here?!"

Don't worry, I'm wondering the same thing!

 "Mom be quiet please, my baby brother and I are trying to have a conversation here"

Don't tell Mom this, but he told me he'll make his grand entrance when we least expect it!! :)

 

Mom and Dad did have a doctor apt on Friday and the little guy is 100% effaced! That's quite the medical term for me, so when I WebMD it I learned that my brother could be here any day...but then I read some other blog and it could still be 2 weeks out...who knows!!

I do know one thing...I am ready to go no matter what time of day it is!

 

I hope Mom and Dad didn't forget to pack my bag! :)

The Final Product!

Well about 9 months later, my baby brother's rooms is finally complete!

And let me tell you, I think it may be my new favorite room!

Doesn't it look good?! It's just so cozy and comfy!

 

Dad did a great job of making these plaques for my brother!

(I think credit goes towards the Project Manager too!)

 Mom did her special scrapbooking touch and did some stenciling while adding a few pictures.

And of course you can't miss the main focus...ME! I have to admit, that's one of my better pictures!

Note: Mom has since done some MORE "nesting" and cleaned his room up some more and got another basket for the organizer!

 

About a month or so ago I told you we were shopping around for a new bed for me! Well, since I am so sweet, I opted to save my parents A LOT of money!! This blanket is the softest blanket I have ever laid on, and that's saying a lot!

 

Now if only my baby brother would hurry up and get here so we can have some Slumber Paw-tys!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is a special day in our house!

IT'S DAD'S BIRTHDAY!

 

I just want to take this time to thank my Dad for everything he has done for me!

Words can't describe how much I love him!

 He truly is the world's best dad anyone could ask for!

I hope you have the best birthday ever Dad, you deserve it!!

I'm so happy Mom and I are here to keep you looking so young!

 

Now lets eat some cake & ice cream and open presents!

Baby Month!!

This is the month!!

 By the time this month ends, I will have a new baby brother!!

Crazy?! Yeah, just a little bit!

 

I just thought I'd share a few things I have learned during these 9 blissful months Mom has been pregnant!

(These are in no particular order)

1. Pregnant women can get what's called cravings! I think Mom's was ice-cream!

2. It takes forever for Mom to pick out her clothes in the morning!

3.  Yoga pants must be more comfortable than jeans?!

4. I can never get a full night of sleep! Mom's always getting up to go to the bathroom!

5. Our walks got slower and slower and slower

6. It takes Mom 15 minutes to get into bed!

7. Mom just can't hop right up off the floor

8. My baby bother has a great arm!

9. If I just look at her right, she'll cry!

10.  Her belly keeps on growing!

And she continues to grow!

Notice she's not willing to show off her belly now! :)

 

I have learned a lot throughout this pregnancy! But one thing that I already knew and knew it wouldn't change is something Dad and I tell her everyday, she still looks beautiful!
