The Magical Thumb!

There is something about Kellen's thumb that he just loves to suck on! The minute he finds the thumb, all is well and quiet! 

Right now Mom and Dad think it's cute and a life saver. I'm thinking it won't be so cute when he's 6 years old and out playing baseball and gets hit in the head because he has his thumb in his mouth! But for now, we're enjoying the cuteness! 

The thumb is found in the tub...

Kellen is enjoying the taste of baby food! And I must say, it's actually pretty good!

Kellen loves his peas!! He's like me, he will eat about anything! But I don't get food in my hair! :)

But the minute mom takes the spoon out of Kellen's mouth, he quickly inserts BOTH his thumbs-it's like his fingers are salt and pepper one minute and chocolate and vanilla the next!

He even loves Vanilla Wafers, just like me!

(We only give vanilla wafers to Kellen when Mommy and Daddy aren't looking! :) )

Next on the menu, steak and potatoes! ;)

New Baby!

If you recall, Kellen didn't smile much the first few months of his life.  And if you can't recall, just believe me when I say, he was not always a happy baby! There were a few times where I thought if the hospital provided a gift receipt! ;)

But people said things would get better, he'd grow out of it! Well sure enough, about 3 months later...HE DID!! Now 4 months old, Kellen plays on the floor by himself, rolls over, and HE SMILES!! And let me tell you, he has the cutest little dimples! 

Don't you just want to squeeze him?!

I think he's going to be a heart breaker! 

Now that he's able to chill on the floor and not cry, I may or may not leave him a few "toys' to play with!

"Say buddy, the ball is over here and I'm right here to catch it!"

People always say Kellen looks like a little man, I think he reminds me of the baby in the ETrade commercials!

Just checking to see how his stock are doing!

Hurry Up!

So Mom and Dad got a new computer! It's some type of Apple...yet it's white!? 

Talk about trying to confuse a kid and dog when you repeat over and over again "A- for Apple, Apples are RED"...now I know I'm only a dog, but that just does not make sense?!

Anyways, it's taking my editor, Mom, a little extra time to proof my posts that I have all set and ready to go! She says she's not used to the "Apple"..EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES! So in the mean time, this is another "look" I give her!

"You get that Apple figured out yet, Mom?"

Yes, I know you all want an update on Kellen! Check back tomorrow for that!
But I'll give you a hint..he's a new baby!! :)

Winter Blues

It's that time of the year again, yes dogs get it too, I'm having a bad case of the Winter Blues! I swear, all I want to do is eat and sleep! 

And when someone wakes me up from a good nap, they get "the look"!

 "Really Mom...I was just about to catch that squirrel!" 

Anyways, it seem like we can't catch a break! It gets nice for a day, then BAM 3 inches of snow and -25 degree temperatures come and ruins all the hopes and dreams of running in the nice green grass and the smell of hot dogs on the grill! 

But since the forecast isn't looking any better, I'll just continue my hibernation and take another nap! 

 Man it's tough being me!

Beautiful White Mask

A beautiful white mask can mean a lot of things...

 1. I'm set in my ways

2. When 6am comes around, I'm ready to get up

3. When 9pm comes around, I'm ready for bed

4. I still need frequent naps throughout the day

 

But it's the heart inside that show's who you really are...

It's another Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Klein!

I'd like to take this time and wish him a very happy birthday! I won't tell everyone how old you'll be, but I hope you have a wonderful birthday on your BIG day! :)

I am so happy I get to be your landscaping and gardening partner! I can't wait to help again this year! I'll be sure to bring the good fertilizer again! :)

Lounging Around!

When Daddy is home with us, we like to be in comfy's and lounge around!  

And then there's times when Kellen just likes to chill in a diaper!

Daddy is just like a kid, himself!

Getting down and playing and building forts with Kellen & I!

 

Since we're all about be cozy, I make sure to provide Kellen an extra cozy and soft blanket when we lounge around!

 One of these day's he'll take a nap on me! :)

But for now...

Snow Much Fun!

On Saturday morning when I woke up, I realized we got 2 inches of fresh snow!! I love snow!! I'd play and lay in it all day if I could!

 

So as soon as Kellen woke up from this morning nap, I made sure we all went outside and played in the snow!

 "Dad, no time for pictures...there's a ball right by your leg and I'm patiently waiting"

 Mom and Dad thought it would be fun to take Kellen sledding for his first time!

You can't tell in these pictures, but by the noise coming from him, I don't think he like it!

(Or maybe he was just hungry!)

 

Either way, I was sure to not miss out on the action!

 You can't forget about my tennis ball!

The BIG 1-2 Part 2

Thanks for coming back! I'm glad Mom is back on the bandwagon on this blogging thing! I need to make sure I'm still making people smile!!

 

Like I said yesterday, Friday was the big celebration!

It was so big that Dad and Kellen made a cake for the humans to eat! I was willing to share my cake, but I guess they wanted their own too!

 If you didn't know, Dad gets to stay home with Kellen and I while Mom goes to work!

 Since he works on the weekends, we get to do all the fun things during the week!

Kellen loved the cake batter! Since it was all chocolate, I let him enjoy it all!

(I know, isn't he getting big!!)

 

If you don't know me, I LOVE presents! Especially presents that come in a bag with tissue paper!

 I always look forward to opening gifts on my birthday! All the attention is on me, of course! :)

As soon as I got in the bag, I was sooo excited to see what Mom & Dad got me...

...a new water bowl! I now have one on each floor!

I am getting older you know!

 

My friend Jack and his mom came over to help celebrate as well! Since his dog, Moose, wasn't able to join, we decided to put the birthday hat on my stuffed Moose! Moose was there in spirit! :)

They were so kind that they even brought me a birthday treat! 

"Jack, even though my Mom said to just give me the top of the squirrel's tail, you can go ahead and give it all to me once she turns her head...she'll never know!"

 

Now the part everyone has been waiting for...

 ...MY BIRTHDAY CAKE!!

 

 Now, if Mom only knew the self control it took for me to NOT indulge on my cake, just so she could get a picture! But because I love her, I suppose! :) 

 

As soon as she said go, I did not waste any time!

It was by far the best birthday cake I have ever had! The sprinkles added a special touch!  

Man that was good! :)

 

Don't worry, Mom didn't let me eat all of that cake! She does a great job of watching my figure for me! And I wanted to share some with my friend Moose of course since she wasn't able to make it!

The BIG 1-2 Part 1

I know, I know, I know..My blog has not been updated since December 11th! NOT MY FAULT!

But I can't spend my time venting right now, the next couple days are ALL ABOUT ME! :)

 

So on Thursday I turned the big 1-2!! Mom and Dad are big on birthdays! They have thrown me a birthday party the last 3 years!

 

The birthday festivities lasted 3 days! On Wednesday night we went to my favorite store (3 Dog Bakery) and I picked out my birthday cake and of course some other treats to tie me over until the big day!

"What do you mean I can't have all of them?! I thought it was MY birthday?! I don't have to worry about losing any baby weight"

 

Mom NORMALLY makes invites and sends them out to all my friends, but I'm pretty sure not a single invite was made or sent out! (Sorry! This isn't the time to vent)

 She did make me and Kellen a birthday hat though, so I better give her some credit!

I'm sorry Mom, I'll stop giving you a hard time! These are the best birthday hats I could ever ask for!

Man, Mom & Dad are so lucky to have 2 of the cutest "kids"!

 So since the BIG party was on Friday, on Thursday I got to indulge in on a Red Velvet Chocolate Mousse Cupcake!  I'm pretty sure I ate that thing in about 5 seconds...if that!

Mom always says, "Make sure to clean up after yourself!"

So I wanted to make sure there were no crumbs on the floor!

I think someone was jealous that all the attention wasn't all on him!!

How's it feel Kellen?! :)
