My Christmas Trim!

Yesterday I got to enjoy the morning at the "spaw"! It was so peaceful, they had Christmas music playing, chocolate covered treats, and cozy slippers to place on my paws after a fresh nail trim. Ok, they didn't have the slippers, or the covered treats, or the musics, BUT it was peaceful!

I was long overdue for a haircut! I was filling a garbage bag everytime Mom and Dad brushed me. Ok, maybe not a garbage bag and we all know Dad does the brushing! I'm kinda in the exaturating  mood...that's how relaxed I am...it's like I'm floating...

Ok, enough talk, the moment everyone has been waiting for...drumroll....

WOW!! Now I'm normally not one to toot my own horn, but man...I. Look. AMAZING!!
I honestly look 10 years younger-and 20 pounds lighter!  I knew I didn't need that facial...and could eat that extra treat! ;)

Not only did I get unlimited treats, but I also got...
Holiday PIGTAILS!! Darling, I know!

Now I'm not going to lie, I didn't want to do squat tonight! I didn't want to mess up my lovely hair!! So what did Kellen and I do?
We put our feet up and watched some Thursday night football!

Spa, treats, family, and football. Life is good!!

Make today a great day and don't forget, make someone smile today!!!

Snack Time!

I feel bad for my parents, between Kellen and I, their grocery bill has to be more than rent!

Every day when Kellen comes home from daycare he HAS to have a snack! Mom says he just had one at daycare, I say who cares he's a growing boy and I'm hungry too...its the winter, I need a little extra warmth on me! :)

So while Kellen sits up on the couch, watches Thomas and eats his popcorn, I just wait...
I know if I just stare Kellen in the eyes long enough he'll cave!! Side note: my posture looks great!

And sure he enough, my brown puppy eyes get him again!!
I always knew I liked this kid!

Now what I didn't see coming was Kellen dumping a handful of popcorn on the floor...for me!!!
But don't you worry, I licked those suckers up so fast before Mom could even say Kellen's name!!

Kellen and I work well together!

SANTA!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Since we're "officially" in the Christmas season, I wanted to show my a very special person that I got to meet!!

On Monday it was bring your dog to meet Santa!! Sooo...
Off we went! I was a little confused to why Kellen joined, this night is supposed to be for dogs!!

Kellen thinks he's Mr. Tough Guy! He loves Santa on the TV, plates, clothes, and snow globes, but the minute he saw the Big Guy he froze!!
Me on the other hand, I was so excited I couldn't sit still!! I did my homework and went through the PetsSmart and Petco catalogs!! There's some awesome "Ugg" boots that I'm looking at!

So we finally get to the front of the line...
...put Kellen on Santa's lap and....

The whole mall heard him scream!
"Kellen, this man here is the one that brings us gifts. No straighten up!"

After one more attempt...
...Mom finally got the brilliant idea to take Kellen off Santa's lap! Really, what was your first clue, Mom?!

Kellen finally calmed down and I got my moment with Santa. Which I thought was the intention of this visit the entire time!
And as you can see, I got to tell Santa everything I wanted!! He even said he'd throw in a couple fresh tennis balls!! I'VE been a good girl!!

Oh I just love this jolly ol' fella!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Yep, I'm still here! Mom was on her only little vacation. And when I say vacation I really mean she was just being lazy!! That's right, I called her out on it!

Well if you know the Wiederin's we love Fall AND CHRISTMAS! If Dad had it his way, the tree would've been up 3 weeks ago! Instead Mom compromised and we put it up last weekend!

And we don't do just a tree! Mom has 3 totes of Christmas decor! You'd think we lived in a 5,000 square foot house!
"Mom, these totes and tree box are kinda making me clostrifobic - oh by the way, these lights don't work!"

If you recall Christmas vacation, our apartment looks like a mini version of the Griswolds!

Let's start with the tree..
It's magnificent!

Then we have Frosty!
Mom is so proud of this!! Was this for Kellen or Mom, I'm pretty sure it's for Mom!

We have to have a Santa sign!!
If you look close, there's a Santa picture too! (Stay tuned for this years pic!)

And yes, Kellen and I have our own tree!! Mom and Dad said we share the tree!! We all know the truth, it's actually mine! :)
If you've never slept by the tree, do it! It's the best sleep I've ever had! And that's saying a lot!

And of course my favorite...
I just love my family!!

Yes, I WILL have another post this week...I promise!!!

Fall Favorites!

I want to share with you some of my favorite fall photos! And of course I'm in the majority of them...I'm the one that makes them look so good!!

Enjoy!
I love my lunchtime walks with Mom!

Who wouldn't love a picture of Papa, Kellen, and a tractor!
I will admit, though I'm not in it, it's a pretty cool picture!! Nice work Mom!

This next picture summarizes my patience when Kellen thinks he should be part of my personal photo shoot!
"Kellen, if you're going to interrupt, please pay attention!"

Finally, back to just ME!
This is calendar worthy!

Sunshine and kisses from Mom, best day ever!
I love my Mom so much!!

Back to Kellen thinking he needs to be part of my shoot!
"Dude, do you not remember how to look at Mom and say cheeese?!" I guess I'll take the snuggles! ;)

Here's to many more fall photo sessions to come!!

Trick-or-TREAT!!

Another Halloween in the books! And guess what, I wasn't an astronot for the 5th time!! Oh no, I was Kellen's medical patient!!
I'm not sure what's worse, astronot for the 5th time or wrapped in gauze looking like a mummy dog! I'm just glad Dad was suffering the same look!

Then came the actual trick-or-treating! I opted to stay in, I think I'm getting too old for this costume thing. And I think Kellen should've taken my advice...

It started off well, just checking out this monkey next to him...
"Did your parents have the candy talk with you, about picking out THEIR favorites? Excuse me, I'm doing the work of going to the door, I'll get what I want!"

Then Kellen got a little too excited, maybe too may Kit-Kats and chose to see what the cement was like.
Yep, skinned up his forehead, nose, and lip! I tried telling him to just stay in. But noooo!

After a dose of Tylenol, resilient Kellen was back out there!
And of course I was there to make sure he said trick-or treat!! He just went straight to the treat!!

I knew we were related!! ;)

Birthday Bash!

I know some of you have seen pictures on "The Book", but I thought I would add my own commentary to it!

Let's start with the birthday hat that Mom and I put countless minutes into...
Someone was NOT appreciative! It had to go over his John Deere cap to even get a picture!! If he only knew how much work and thought Mom put into making that "perfect" hat!

Me on the other hand...
I'm very appreciative of all of Mom's hard work!

Then came the cake!!
Of course it's Thomas!! I don't have pictures to prove, but it was darn good!!

Kellen really liked it....on his body!! ;)

Then on Saturday the crew, minus me, got a tour of one of the fire stations!!
I was busy cleaning up cake crumbs from the night before and resting up for Mom's birthday!!

Sunday came and it was time to pull out my Betty Crocker skills!!
"Kellen, kids your age aren't supposed to have raw eggs, so I'll just lick the bowl for you!" ;)

After 2 rounds of cake and presents, I was exhausted come Sunday!!
A girl can only party for so long!!

Oh and you ask how the 2 year old is doing...
Just Peachy!!! ;)

I know, world's best sister!! I will have to say, this was taken when Kellen was tired, hungry, and.....constipated!!

Best sister again!!!

I Scream, You scream, We all Scream...

With winter and snow quickly approaching, yes Dad said there's a chance of rain/snow on Wednesday, we took full advantage of a nice night last week and ventured over to Culvers! Plus Mom had a coupon!!

With summer over, I am no longer worried about my "beach bod"! That was so 3 months ago!!
So let's make that a double scoop sundae-extra graham cracker crumbs!!

Oh and Kellen, yeah I made him wait his turn! It wasn't his birthday yet, so seniority rules Dude! ;)
And patience is not in his vocabulary!

So finally Mom and Dad gave him his spoon and we shared our sundae!!
Just kidding! He just got done with a runny nose, I'm not risking it! ;)

If you look deep into my eyes you can see the love that I have for this one special moment...
Yes, Mom spoon feeding me...now I just need a gold platter and a silver spoon!!

Life is too short, go eat some ice cream!!;)

Yes- birthday pictures to come!!

Can You Believe He's TWO!!

Two years ago I kept waking Mom up in the middle of night. She thought I had to go potty, little did she know I knew what was coming!!

With contractions and a lot of back pain, mom still got all dolled up but I made sure I stayed really close to her incase something happened! At 1pm they left for the hospital. The next time I saw them was with my baby brother!

And here we are, 2 years later! We have all survived!
Who would've thought we'd be hanging out under the table watching Thomas and Kellen chillin in his diaper...only my family! :)

I will say, I have enjoyed year 2 more than I did year 1! There's no late night feelings or those stale puffs anymore. We're finally to the good snacks-animal crackers!!

One thing that I absolutely love are the snuggles that Kellen will give me!
Everytime he leaves the house or goes nigh nigh he always tells me "wub you" and give a big hug!

Kellen is a special brother to me! Yah, he'll get on my nervous, but what siblings don't, but no matter what we always have each other's back!

Especially when mom wants to take picture 5,865! We decide to just suck it up together and do it for her!
But I guess, who would blame her when she has model like material to work with!

I am so excited to what the coming year will bring Kellen and I! Let's just hope it's not more of this...
What?! I'm his big sister, I'm supposed to  share pictures like this!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLEN! I can't wait for cake and presents!!
(Let's hope Mom and Dad didn't forget about their princess and her present!) ;)

Adorable, I know!

So this past weekend it was a bit chilly when it came to going potty at bedtime!!
Mom was very quick to reassure me that she had me covered...literally!
Oh yes, I have my very own stocking cap! Don't we look adorable!!

Mom's hat came from a Twins game back in May, that was their promo...I guess they normally have snow in May?! ;)

The good thing about living in an apartment is I have the opportunity to show off my sweet stocking hat to everyone I see!
And of course I wear it proudly for all to see, who wouldn't? I promise, I am proud..I just had to go potty reeeealy bad!! :)

I do want everyone to know that I am officially Southwest Station (our apartment complex) mascot!! EVERYONE knows me! I think business cards are next!?

Happy Anniversary!

Time flew by last week that I didn't have a chance to wish Mom and Dad a happy anniversary!

On Friday, Mom and Dad celebrated their 5th anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 blissful years already!! I tell you, they are just 2 young love birds still!!

In celebration of Mom and Dad making it 5 years, we opted to take a selfie...weird!
As you can tell the "kids" were not up to taking a picture....might I add...it wasn't even 8am yet!

Oh and you think we can get this good of a picture on the first try, oh no!! But Mom is persistent! If she wants something she will make sure she gets it....from what i hear, that's how Dad was with Mom! ;) So to our picture...
This was our first attempt!! Again, not having it at 7:40am!

Ok, I'm supposed to be wishing Mom and Dad a happy anniversary, not bashing them!

So here it is...

Happy Anniversary to my amazing parents!! Not only do you love Kellen and I with all your heart, but you also love each other with all your heart!! I've seen you go through heartbreak together, celebrate moments of joy, and provide your shoulder to each other through challenging times! During all of this, your love stays strong and continues to grow! Thank you for loving Kellen and l like you do, but most importantly thank you for loving each other with all your heart...and laughing at each others jokes...even if they're not funny!! (cough Mom cough cough)

Here's to many more date nights together!
I know, I'm good with words and do have a soft side!!

Oh and yes, they did get out and Kellen and I had a sweet babysitter! :)
